Undertoys

About

I previously worked at a childcare in Sydney and one day observed the 4-5 year old boys do something very strange, but justifiable. They were asking each other to pull their shorts down so they good get a good look up close at what their friends had on their undies, usually batman or spiderman or the like.

I don’t think the same kind of behavior would be acceptable among adults, but still, can’t grown men wear undies that are just as fun?
Graphic design student, Daniel Fryer, has made it possible.

Something very special happens when you combine undies with toys. You get Undertoys. Inspired by Superman, Fighter jets, and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, as well as a fierce jealousy of the underwear available to boys in the childrens section of Big W, Fryer decided to put his business skills to the test in launching a line of underdaks with a sense of humour. And lets face it, girls have always got too choose from a wide range of colourful undies with different prints. It’s time for the guys to shine.

Design

Undertoys prints are exactly what you’d expect to see on a 6 year old boys doona cover. What’s refreshingly unique is that you’re seeing them on a grown mans pair of trunks. The designs range from fighter jets to superman undies - and no, not undies with a print of superman on them , but the actual undies Superman himself would wear. Yes guys. You can actually BE superman.

Price

$22.95 each. Pretty standard.
